“Winning one your scholarships made my whole summer!" Scholarship recipient Diane Brazell (with OSU Thrift Shop Chair Mary Ann Matzke)

90 years supporting our community

Since 1930, the OSU Folk Club Thrift Shop Foundation has awarded scholarships benefiting students attending Oregon State University. Last year, these scholarships totaled nearly $60,000 thanks to the generosity and support of our community!

Folk Club scholarships are made possible by proceeds from the OSU Folk Club Thrift Shop and by donations from individuals or organizations. Contact us to learn more about how your donations can make an impact on local students.

Scholarship applications are closed until 2023.

OSU Folk Club/Thrift Shop Scholarship provides two different scholarships:

  • The High School Scholarship is for seniors graduating from a Benton County high school or who live in Benton County. They must plan to attend OSU full-time or have full-time dual enrollment in the Degree Partnership Program of LBCC and OSU with at least 6 credits per term at OSU in the next academic year. The principal criterion for this award is academic merit.
  • The Non-Traditional Scholarship for Women is for women who will be 30 or older by March 1 of the award year. They must plan to attend OSU full-time or part-time in the next academic year, pursuing an undergraduate degree. Applicants must be eligible for in-state tuition.  The primary criteria are financial need and academic achievement.

Check back in January 2023 to apply.

Congratulations to our 2022–2023 Scholarship awards recipients!

This year we awarded twenty $3,000 scholarships to students attending Oregon State University. Thank you to all of the Thrift Shop volunteers whose efforts made this possible.
